While accelerating on the freeway from approximately 65mph, the stability control system engaged and took control of the acceleration of the vehicle. Roads were dry without ice, snow or rain. The stability control reduced power until the engine died even while pressing the accelerator to the floor. The engine would not restart for approximately 5 minutes. I own a 2017 chevy colorado z71 4x4. Once back on the highway after off-roading on the beach, while forward driving at roughly 50 mph i ran over a chopped piece of fire wood in the road.
